How can a church bazaar compare to a large home show with 1000’s of people pouring through the aisles? A Recent Success Story for PA Basements and Ryan Pereus Marketing Consulting (RPMC) starts at a
church bazaar in West Philadelphia. One of Pereus’ associates contacted this congregation to learn more about their bazaar: size of the location, history of the event, how many vendors, cost to enter; hours of the event, etc.
Pereus decided to send out one of his Human to Human reps (me) to talk to people at the bazaar and find out what their needs were. Ryan also joined me for a good portion of the time at the church. Initially, it looked like this would be a waste of time. There were approximately 30 – 40 vendors and a handful of browsers looking at clothes, toys, gift items, sports team sweatshirts and other clothing, collectibles, health remedies, and more.
So, where did PA Basement’s services fit? PAB solves leaky basement problems, cracks, mold, Bilco doors 
for outside entrance, egress windows for emergency exits,
digging basements from scratch or deepening them and uses dry ice blasting to get rid of mold in 3 hours safely (instead of 3 days with chemicals). Are people really looking for these solutions at a bazaar where people are coming for hot dogs, fish sandwiches, homemade pies and cakes, fun and bargains?
Well, shortly after the initial opening at 10AM, the vendor next to me said she had a need. She was selling music CD’s from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, but she wanted us to come take a look at her basement problem. A little while later another person came over to sign up to be called for an appointment. Then another and another and 
another. From 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon, 11 leads trickled in — and as I was packing up to leave — a 12th signed up! What a day for RPMC! It truly was a day of small beginnings and still in total — a very small crowd, but a day that grew from a small seed to a beautiful bloom!
This experience is a repeat of many small events, although larger than this church bazaar, at the Quaker City Flea Market, Souderton Day, Lansdale Day, Malvern Block Party, Rice’s Market, Valley Forge Home Show, Warrington Home Show, and many more that have blossomed from RPMC’s approach.
